SEIS-qualifying · UK registered · Proven track record

How The Foundry works
You focus on product. We handle everything else.
Most great product ideas never reach the market because founders get stuck in the commercial gap between idea and launch. The Foundry closes that gap entirely.
You own equity in your brand company. If traction is strong, we raise further capital to scale - new channels, new markets, more products. When the multiple is right, the brand exits. Pikk-it is the model: built from zero, scaled to $242,000 EBITDA, listed at $1.5M. That is the floor, not the ceiling.
Your risk is covered twice over before a single unit sells.
SEIS tax relief returns 50% of your investment from HMRC immediately. You're backing a proven operational team with a live track record.
50% income tax relief before a single unit sells
SEIS loss relief at 45% marginal rate, even on total failure
On a total failure. HMRC covers the rest.
Plus CGT exemption on qualifying exits
- 50% income tax relief from HMRC on day one
- SEIS loss relief: even on total failure, a 45% taxpayer's maximum net loss is £27,500 per £100,000 invested - the rest is covered by HMRC
- Capital funds product and inventory, not salaries
- The Foundry manages all commercial operations on behalf of portfolio brands
- Portfolio diversification across multiple brands
- Returns via brand exits or revenue distributions
- Exit proof - Pikk-it already listed for sale at $1.5M
- Backed by a proven track record, see Pikk-it

How capital is protected
Every brand passes through defined gates. Capital only moves when the previous stage is validated.
The Foundry does not commit capital to a concept and hope. Every brand moves through a defined sequence of decision points. At each one, the question is the same: does this meet the criteria to proceed? If not, the brand is paused or closed , and the next tranche of capital stays in place. This structure is what makes The Foundry different from a single-bet investment.
- 01Stage 1
Initial evaluation
Criteria: Proven category demand, viable unit economics, single communicable product advantage, realistic editorial angle.
Outcome if not met: Declined before capital is committed. No spend.
- 02Stage 2
Supplier validation
Criteria: Specification manufacturable at target FOB cost, credible manufacturer with relevant certifications.
Outcome if not met: Parked. Zero tooling or sampling spend until a qualifying supplier is identified.
- 03Stage 3
Sample gate
Criteria: Physical samples meet specification. Independent performance testing where relevant.
Outcome if not met: Redesign, re-source, or park. No inventory order placed until samples are signed off.
- 04Stage 4
Launch gate (60–90 days)
Criteria: Conversion rate and organic velocity on target. Review trajectory positive.
Outcome if not met: Paid spend paused. Root cause assessed. Brand closed if not recoverable within 30 days.
- 05Stage 5
Scale gate (months 3–9)
Criteria: Advertising cost of sale sustainable at target margin. Editorial placements converting. Channel mix developing.
Outcome if not met: Ad spend capped at profitable threshold. Exit timeline brought forward if scale is not achievable.
- 06Stage 6
Exit
Criteria: EBITDA target reached and sustainable.
Outcome: Trade sale or specialist marketplace listing initiated.
